A new milestone in 3D food printing technology

Gastronology has taken an important step forward in scaling up nutrition within healthcare.

During a recent production run on the industrial 3D food printing line at Budelfood, a printing speed of no less than 4.8 kilograms of pumpkin puree per minute was achieved. This technological breakthrough marks a new chapter in efficient, safe, and flavorful food for people with swallowing difficulties (dysphagia) and other eating limitations.

Under the brand name Dysphalicious, Gastronology develops recognizable, tasty, and safe 3D-printed meals, specially designed to meet the needs of care-dependent individuals. The increased print speed not only enables higher production capacity but also leads to lower cost per portion and greater flexibility in meal solutions.

This advancement paves the way for making appropriate care nutrition more widely accessible, without compromising on quality or nutritional value. It brings Gastronology’s mission – to let everyone enjoy good and safe food, one step closer to reality.
