Gastronology starts with the development of KidZZ: 3D-food for children

Since July 2026, Gastronology has been working on a new 3D food range for children aged 3 to 8, with the aim of making vegetables so irresistible that children naturally want to eat more of them.

Gastronology is expanding its focus. Alongside its 3D food range for the healthcare sector, the company has been working since July 2026 with SVH Master Chef Eugène Swalen on recipes and product concepts for a second target group: children aged 3 to 8. Under the working name KidZZ, Gastronology is developing vegetables in a finger food form, healthy vegetable snacks that can be eaten by hand, presented in playful shapes that are appealing to children.

On average, 6 in 10 children do not eat enough vegetables every day. By making vegetables irresistibly tasty and presenting them in a format that matches the way children naturally like to eat, Gastronology wants to encourage children to eat more vegetables.

As with the Dysphalicious brand, production of KidZZ will be handled by licensing partner Budelfood, part of the Budelpack Group. The first products are planned for launch in 2027 and will be available to both brand owners and retailers.
